The NYS Alliance MLS Portal Login Page (your "Dashboard") will be unavailable on Tuesday, 1/30/24 between 3 am and 5 am to enable Multifactor Authentication (MFA). All subscribers will then be required to change their password and use Multifactor Authentication beginning on Wednesday, 1/31/24.
What's multi-factor authentication? It's an extra layer of security to help protect everyone whose data is accessed with a user's agent ID and password, requiring users to enter more information than just a password.
As an extra security measure, the NYS Alliance is adding MFA to the login process. It won’t be on every login, but in place when a little extra verification via email or text might make a difference, such as new member sign-in, during a password change, or a risk level increase. You may recall the recent Rappatoni MLS hack that shut down participating MLSs for over a week; stronger security systems for MLSs are a must!
To prepare, make sure that your email address and mobile number are up-to-date in your member portal profile. You can make cell and/or email changes via your member portal (click on Edit in My Profile). Do this today, to prevent any issues next week!
