Hello Business Owners of the Deerfield Valley,

On Monday, Governor Scott spoke about additional changes to the Stay Home Stay Safe order coming at the end of the week. He also announced changes that would allow low-contact outdoor recreational sports to resume as of July 15th with league play resuming July 1st. He will providing additional updates in his press conference today at 11 on WCAX.

The case numbers in the State are continuing to trend a good direction, which was reflected in the allowance of visitors from out-of-state county's without a quarantine. As our case numbers continue to improve, we will begin to see more easements to the original State of Emergency.

A letter has been drafted and signed by the Deerfield Valley Resiliency Team (The Chamber, Wilmington Works, Economic Development Departments in Wilmington and Dover) that will be sent to our legislators urging them to expedite the process of approving the funding put forth by Governor Scott in his relief package. It also requests that they rework their current proposal to more closely reflect the funding levels presented in the original package announcement. We are closely monitoring the progress of this funding and will be sure to share updates with you as we have them.
