AUGUST 9, 2022 ELECTION

August 9, 2022 is the Partisan Primary Election. At a partisan primary, you may vote for candidates in only one political party. Therefore, when you vote, choose ONE political party in which you will vote, and vote for individual candidates only within that party. WARNING: Voting in more than one political party may void your voting choices.

The polls will be open on Tuesday, August 9th from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm at the St Germain Community Center. Photo ID is required for all elections.

Any qualified elector may vote an absentee ballot in the clerk's office at the St Germain Community Center in room 5 (enter via Town Offices Entrance) on:
Wednesday, July 27 from 8:30 am – 10:30 am
Monday, August 1, from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Wednesday, August 3, from 8:30 am – 10:30 am

A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen, who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, who has resided in the ward or municipality where he/she wishes to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election. The elector must also be a registered vote in order to receive an absentee ballot. Proof of identification must be provided before an absentee ballot may be issued.

Voters can also call June Vogel Town Clerk at 715-891-0699 for an appointment.

ABSENTEE BALLOT PRINTING ERROR

Absentee ballots mailed to voters June 20 through July 19 had a printing error. New ballots, referred to as Ballot B, were re-sent on July 26, 2022. Please vote on Ballot B and return in the self-addressed envelope.

  • If you have already returned an absentee ballot, the original ballot will be removed from counting when Ballot B is received. Please be assured that you will NOT have two ballots counted.
  • If Ballot B is not returned and the original ballot is on file on the day of election, then a Ballot B will be made on your behalf and counted on the day of the election.
  • The new ballot that is created on election day will mirror your voting selections on the original ballot.
  • Please be assured that you will NOT have two ballots counted.

Please call the Vilas County Clerk at 715-479-3603 with any questions you may have.

Thank you for your understanding.
