CIY MOVE is less than 2 weeks away!! We cannot wait to head to Bowling Green, OH and experience all God has in store for our High School students! We have some important information for you before we head out. We hope this document will answer the questions you have as we head into this event! Event Itinerary

Throughout the event, we will be following CIY's itinerary. You can find that HERE. Below is our specific itinerary for Monday and Saturday. 

Monday June 15th

6:00AM (Central) - Doors open at Hope Church.

7:00AM (Central) - Leave Hope Church.

12:00PM (Eastern) - Stop for lunch.

1:00PM (Eastern) - Get back on the road.

2:30PM (Eastern) - Arrive at Bowling Green State University for MOVE!

Thursday June 18th

We will be staying on campus for our extended rec time this year. More details to come!

Saturday June 20th

7:00AM (Eastern) - Wake up and pack up.

8:00AM (Eastern)- Breakfast and leave. (Breakfast provided at bus.)

12:00PM (Central) - Stop for lunch.

1:00PM (Central) - Get back on the road.

4:30PM (Central) - Arrive back at Hope Church.

Packing Guide

Please be sure to pack the following in you checked bag:

• Clothing for 5 days. We will be doing theme days!
• Tuesday: Wear your provided Hope Students MOVE T-Shirt (mandatory.)
• Wednesday: Hawaiian Day
• Thursday: Team Spirit Day - Wear your team color and provided team T-shirt (mandatory.)
• Team Colors are:
• White & Hot Pink: Senior Boys, Freshman Boys, Junior Girls, Senior Girls
• Yellow & Teal: Junior Boys, Graduate Boys, Sophomore Girls
• Mint Green & Purple: Sophomore Boys, Graduate Girls, Freshman Girls
• Friday: MOVE Swag Day
• Bedding for a Twin XL bed. You will be staying in a dorm room.
• Pillow
• Towels (Showering and Swimming)
• Toiletries
• Prescription Medications*
• Bible
• Appropriate Swimwear** (There may a pool on campus. We do not know if we will have access or not.)
• Sunscreen

Please be sure to pack the following in your carry on bag (riding with you on the bus, large bags will be underneath the bus or on the trailer and not accessible during the trip):

• Money for CIY Store, Monday Lunch, Snacks, etc. 
• Water Bottle
• Earbuds/Headphones 
• Phone Charger
• Snacks

Optional:

• Small Personal Fan (12” or Less in Diameter) (All dorms are air conditioned)
• Packable Hammock
• Musical Instrument (Please let us know if you plan to bring an instrument.)
• Sports Equipment (Basketball, Volleyball, Frisbee, Disc Golf Discs, etc.)

*Prescription Medications: We ask that parents turn in any prescription medications to us during check-in at Hope with directions for use. Students do not need to turn in inhalers, over the counter medications, or dietary supplements. 

**Swimwear Guidelines: Boys need to wear loose-fitting trunks with at least a 7” inseam with a drawstring. Swim-shirts/rash-guards are encouraged but not required. Girls need to wear suits fully covering the chest and bottom. String bikini’s and low-cut swimwear is not allowed. All students need to wear swimwear that fits well and allows for movement.

Payments and Waivers

• Please make all final payments as soon as possible. If your family is in need of financial support or an alternate payment plan, please reach out to Ashton at ablower@myhope.church. All payments are due ASAP.
• Please take time to fill out all the necessary paperwork. Below are links for the Hope Medical Information and Release Form and our Activity Participation Form. Thank you for taking time to get those forms filled out in advance.
• CIY has also added a new step: They now require each attendee fill out a registration and forms for them as well. That is also linked below. This new step has been a bit confusing and their website is a little hard to maneuver, so we are including a video that shows the steps to fully complete their registration. Please reach out to Ashton with any questions about this website or with any issues you are having.
