Take Part in the 117th Annual
Little Pictures Show & Sale!
Signed Contracts and Initial Entry Forms
Due Friday, October 15
Late submissions will not be accepted.

Please review this email in full prior to participating.
Little Pictures, first hosted by the Club in 1904, is the oldest and largest show of its kind in the United States. Each year over 100 artists take part and hundreds of artworks are sold. Don't miss out on being a part of history!

Please note that you may submit up to 12 artworks prior to the opening of the show, but you must deliver the signed contract and entry forms for all of your initial submissions together by October 15 at the latest. This is not a flexible deadline and late submissions will not be accepted.

You may deliver submission information in person, by hard-copy mail, or you are welcome to scan and email them to [email protected]. If sent by email, please make sure you are providing clear, high quality scans in PDF form. JPEG image photographs of forms and contracts are not acceptable.
Artwork Eligibility Details
Review carefully as submissions that do not meet our standards will be sent home.
  • Each Exhibiting Artist may have up to 6 pieces on view in the gallery at a time, and up to 6 replacement works in storage.
  • Works must be recent and no more than 2 years old.
  • Works previously exhibited in past Little Pictures or Members' Exhibitions at the Club are not acceptable.
  • All media are welcome, but works must be original. Giclee reproductions of original work are not acceptable.
  • Prices are capped at $300. All sales are subject to a 25% commission.
  • At Little Pictures we do not allow pre-sales, discounts, changing prices, price on request, or holds, etc. All purchased artworks must be paid for in full at time of purchase. As works sell, artists receive email notification and can replenish as needed as much as they like until the conclusion of the exhibition.
  • Artworks may be no larger than 16" x 16" including the frame. This is a firm size limitation. Submissions will be measured and any work that exceeds 16" will be sent home. Remember, this is supposed to be a "little" pictures show...
  • Works must be wired with D-Rings and properly prepared for installation. Clips, sawtooth hangers, cleats, etc. are not acceptable.
  • Works on paper must be framed and under glass.
  • Paintings should be framed, or can be presented on gallery wrapped canvas with a finished edge.
  • Works will be installed in roughly alphabetical order. The gallery staff have the final say on all issues related to installation and we make every effort to fairly rotate the show each year.
  • This year's exhibition will be presented entirely in-person and in the gallery.

If you have questions about eligibility for this exhibition, please email [email protected] well in advance. He is happy to assist.

  • Entry forms for (up to) your first 12 pieces must also be submitted by October 15. Please fill out this form for entries 1-6, and fill out this form for entries 7-12. Please fill out forms legibly. Do not fill out the "buyer" portion of these forms.

Artwork Delivery Details
October 25 - October 29
Late submissions will not be accepted.
Artworks for this show must be delivered Monday, October 25 - Friday, October 29 from 12-4pm each day. If you would like to drop off work in the morning you must make an appointment to do so. Works delivered late will not be accepted or installed.

A check-in table will be set up in Dodge House Gallery. All works must be delivered to the gallery.

All submissions will be inspected by gallery staff and any work that does not adhere to the specifications will be turned away. All works must be checked in with a staff member and may not be left unattended at the check-in desk.

Here's an illustrated guide on how to best prepare your work:

1. Please organize your works in a sturdy container, such as a cardboard box or heavy bag. Then label your container with your First Initial and Last Name in prominent places.
2. Place a piece of cardboard between each piece (as shown above) for safety.
3. All works must be wired with D-Rings securely on the reverse. Please label each piece using a copy of the official entry form. Photocopy your entry forms, cut them out, and affix them to each corresponding piece. The labels on the back must match the entry forms submitted to the gallery. Please do not change titles, prices, etc. when labeling work.
4. Please affix the label to the wire with a single piece of scotch tape and place it all the way to the right. Fold the label closed, particularly on very small pieces. You must include the full label. Please do not cut off the "buyer" section.
If you have questions about preparation and delivery for this exhibition, please email [email protected] well in advance. He is happy to assist.
