Each year, as part of the properties preventative maintenance plan, we perform a thermal scan of the electrical bus system in both Tower 1 and Tower 2. As recommended by the manufacturer of the electrical system, Square D, we perform this exercise once during the "off-season" when the occupancy is lower, therefore the electrical load is lower, and once during peak season, when the load is highest. If readings during the thermal scan exceed the normal condition, we have measures through a certified electrician to correct them. This week we performed a thermal scan on both buildings. During the exercise, Tower 1 had a couple of locations that exceed the normal conditions. The corrective adjustments, while simple to make, require power to be shut off.
As such, on Friday, June 29th between 9:30 am - 12:00 pm, power to units between floors 9 - 15 will be out intermittently as repairs are being made. Notices have been posted in Tower 1 elevators, Front Desk, and Security, so all guests will have time to enjoy the beach during the temporary outage. Tower 2, and all other floors in Tower 1 should not be affected. Elevators and common area power will not be affected. While we realize this will create a temporary inconvenience, we must address this issue immediately.
