Dear Majestic Owners-

Power has been restored and the water is now operational in both buildings at Majestic.

Staff reported that 12-15 air conditioning compressors were knocked over on the roof of Tower I. I don’t have any info as to which units were served by these air conditoners.

Once we figure it out, we will attempt to contact those owners.

Owners are encouraged to ask their management companies to inspect their units and look for water damage. If you find any wind damage, broken glass or significant water intrusion in your unit, please send an email to me at the address below along with photos if possible.

It is likely that some water may be found near the sliding doors and front door of your unit. This is inevitable due to the pressure of the wind combined with heavy rainfall. If you find a lot of water, please take whatever measures are necessary to dry it up as quickly as possible and let us know in order that we can alert the owners of the units below you.

The crosswalk between the Activities Building and Tower II will remain Closed for an indefinite period due to the roof having been ripped from the structure. Please use the Tower I bridge to access both buildings.

All pools and the health club will be closed until further notice. The beach is technically open, but there are likely many hazards embedded in the sand. Shoes should be worn on the beach and everywhere around Majestic Beach Resort.

We will have limited staff and security personnel for the forseeable future. They are doing their best to return the resort to an operational condition, so please don’t ask them to help with repairs inside your unit unless there is an emergency situation.

THERE ARE STILL MANY UNSAFE CONDITONS IN AND AROUND THE MAJESTIC BEACH RESORT. AND IT IS LIKELY THAT MORE CONDITIONS WILL BE DISCOVERED.

RENTALS ARE STRONGLY DISCOURAGED AT THIS TIME. PLEASE GIVE US AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET THE RESORT BACK IN ORDER. THERE ARE SIMPLY TOO MANY UNKNOWNS AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS CONDITIONS THAT COULD SUBJECT YOU AND THE ASSOCIATION TO LIABILITY IF SOMEONE IS INJURED DURING THIS TIME.

IF YOU DO ALLOW ANYONE TO STAY IN YOUR UNIT, THEY WILL HAVE TO REGISTER WITH SECURITY IN ORDER THAT WE KNOW WHO IS ONSITE, AND WILL HAVE TO SIGN A WAIVER OF LIABILTY IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE ASSOCIATION. WE HOPE TO HAVE PROCEDURES FOR THIS IN PLACE EARLY NEXT WEEK.

IF YOU DO PLAN DO VISIT YOUR UNIT, PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION.

A COUNTY WIDE CURFEW IS IN EFFECT FROM DUSK UNTIL DAWN EVERY NIGHT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, AND THE POLICE HAVE BEEN ARRESTING CURFEW VIOLATORS.

ALSO, A BOIL WATER ORDER IS IN EFFECT. BRING FOOD AND WATER WITH YOU.
