Due to the current state of emergency and public health emergency declared by Governor Phil Murphy and in an effort to prevent further spread of COVID-19, the March 17, 2020 North Caldwell Board of Education Meeting will no longer be conducted in person and will only be done online via Zoom Meeting at 7:30 P.M. to comply with New Jersey's Open Public Meeting Act.

 

Unfortunately, we are required to conduct this meeting in order to meet certain State-imposed legal deadlines for Board of Education business, which have not been relaxed in the face of this crisis. While we recognize this is not the optimal way to conduct a Board of Education meeting, it would be irresponsible for us to conduct this meeting in person, given the critical need for social distancing.

The online Zoom Meeting platform will provide transparency and allow the public to participate in the meeting to the same extent as if it were held in person.

 

A link for the livestream of this meeting will be posted on the district website, www.ncboe.org, by mid-afternoon on March 17. Please join the Zoom Meeting through this link.

As always, our meeting agenda will include an item called public recognition, at which time members of the public can address their comments to the Board. With this new format, you can make your comment during the Zoom Meeting when the agenda item arises. Alternatively, you can submit your comment in advance by emailing it to the Business Administrator / Board Secretary at [email protected] . If you submit your comment in advance, please make sure you provide your name and address as both are required for public comment; we cannot take anonymous public comments. All comments should be submitted by 6:30 P.M. Tuesday March 17, 2020.
