FLORIDA DEMOCRACY DAY

January 13, 2024January

We Cannot Be Silent!

Pro-Democracy organizations and supportive individuals will show their passion to preserve and protect democracy in Florida and beyond on Florida Democracy Day. Events organized throughout Florida on January 13 will highlight that Floridians will not be silent or be silenced by those trying to steal democracy under the "guise" of freedom. Without democracy, our various areas of advocacy are all at risk.

Scheduled for the first Saturday following the opening of the 2024 Florida legislative session, Florida Democracy Day events will:

  • Identify new legislative bills that could further steal democracy from Floridians.
  • Reinforce the importance of supporting citizen initiated referendums: clean water and limits on government interference with abortion.
  • Voice concerns with the Florida legislature's efforts to increase politicization of public schools by pursuing elected partisan school board members.
  • Reinforce to Floridians that democracy is at risk BUT there are citizens all over Florida focused on protecting and preserving democracy.

Together there is hope!
