Due to the continued restrictions in NC, we are unable to host our AAU State Meet at The Park Expo Center in Charlotte. Based on the results from the survey that was sent out earlier this month, we noticed the great desire for live competition. However, with arenas and event facilities still closed in NC, we were left with limited options for a facility that could accommodate all of us to compete in over the course of one weekend (which is what most of you requested for). So we were pleasantly surprised to see that over 80% of the membership was willing to travel to SC to compete, which opened up more opportunities to still host a live event! We have been working hard to create options that work best for everyone and are excited to announce our new date(s) and location!

Thanks to our partners at the Greenville, SC Convention & Visitors Bureau, we were able to secure the 50,000 sq. ft. Conference Hall at the beautiful Greenville Convention Center! The partnership with the CVB provided us the chance to invite our South Carolina AAU friends to join us in this great opportunity. We will be combining forces to host the first ever AAU CAROLINA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. SC will be competing Friday, April 30th and NC will be competing Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2. *States will not be competing against each other.

Extreme measures will be taken to promote the safest competition possible (please refer to the event flyer for more details). We want everyone willing and able to travel to the live event to feel secure and confident that just because we are over the state line...no shortcuts will be taken in regards to Covid-19 policies & precautions! NC Mask Mandates and other NC Covid protocols will be followed.

Staying true to the AAU Motto of "Sports for all, forever", NC AAU will also be offering a NC AAU VIRTUAL State Championship on Sunday, April 25 with a reduced entry fee and NO late fees (until 4/1). This option assures that every AAU gymnast in NC is provided an equal opportunity to gain a state championship title regardless of their circumstance in these unprecedented times.
