Friday, October 8, 2021 from 8 to 10 PM

September 29, 2021. Benton Harbor, Mich.— The October 8 PechaKucha event is to be hosted outdoors only at the GhostLight Theatre. With concern for the rising Covid cases, the previously offered indoor seating for simulcast will no longer be available. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. PechaKucha 20X20, conceived by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham in Tokyo, is an international phenomenon taking place regularly in over 1,000 cities around the world, and attended by more than 250,000 people annually. PechaKucha has been described as the world's biggest physical social network. The key to the success is the simple format where presenters only get 20 images shown for 20 seconds each -- this gives anyone a chance to present their recent project or passion.

Many cities often lack spaces where creative people can share their work, so PechaKucha is about exposing the hidden creativity in a city. PechaKucha nights are organized by local passionate and enthusiastic people with backgrounds in many creative fields.

PechaKucha St. Joeseph/Benton Harbor has been bringing local creatives to center-stage since 2015, and Volume 21 will kick off the hopeful return to in-person presentations! Whether you have been to all story-filled evenings or this is your first, this fun and communal evening spent engaging with local artists and community members is sure to provide new memories with our community.

The presenters at Volume 21 are:
Denard Fenaud
Erick Fisher
Sharon Brown
Grace Kelmer
Debbie Boyersmith
Katie Remaly
August Garritano
Catherine Thomas
Mary Gayen
Darryl Reece
