MESSAGE FROM OUR CEO

Dear Ridgewood YWCA Families.

As you know we have been notified by Governor Murphy of NJ that schools will not
re-open for the rest of the school year, we miss you all, but this was a safe decision.

We know many of you are waiting for refunds from the current YWCA program year. Please know when the Governor allows us to re-open our offices, we will process the refunds for cancelled programs. We understand that you are eager for your funds and it will be our priority once we can get back to access our systems.

As you may know, in March, The Ridgewood School District went through a routine process to bid the contract for the school age program.
Unfortunately we were out bid by a for-profit company and will not be able to offer BSP or ASP onsite at Ridgewood Schools.
This was a huge disappointment to us as we have a long history in Ridgewood. It has been our privilege to serve the district and your families all these years. If the opportunity were to arise again, we would apply. Although it is often  challenging for a non-profit organization to compete with the for profit rates,  we are proud of our staff and the high quality of our SAP programs.

We will continue to offer camp programs in Mahwah and Dumont and we hope to work with your family over the summer, click HERE for camp info.

Please know that entire YWCA team wishes you and your children the very best and we hope you stay part of the YWCA family. Please reach out to me with any questions or contact our COO, Maire Brosnan Katavolos with any questions. She can be reached at  [email protected]

Be well & Stay safe,
