The next phase of our personal auto rating and class plan changes will go live Friday, July 1, including prior carrier prefill using third party data sources.

Prior carrier information can only improve our competitiveness on new business quotes, rewarding your client for longevity with their prior company and for higher liability coverage limits. There is no surcharge associated with prior carrier data gathering.

What changes will I see in gBiz?

Auto data prefill, how it works:

When starting a new business Personal Auto quote you will see a new drop down box asking for Quote Type, including: New, Change or Rewrite. With Change or Rewrite simply enter the policy number and continue as usual.

For a new business quote check the FCRA acknowledgement box, then a new section, Applicant Advance Data Lookup appears which confirms we will partner with LexisNexis to make the quoting process simpler through auto data prefill. There is no longer the option to opt out of auto data prefill.

Throughout the quoting process we we will prefill as much data as possible, helping to make the quoting process quicker and easier.

Prior Carrier Questions

New Prior Carrier questions will show up for new business quotes under the Additional Information section of the gBiz quoting screen.

LexisNexis will prefill these new boxes with available information. If no prior carrier information is returned by LexisNexis, please complete the inputs based upon information provided by your client. This information is critical to offer the best price for a new business quote.

More details on how this information will be applied to the quote will be announced with upcoming rate changes via a bulletin.

As with the new business discounts implemented earlier this year, these changes to the personal auto product are focused on improving our competitive position in the marketplace as well as focusing on areas where we can improve our loss experience.
