 IMRF adds Field Representative, new Territory
|
Effective Monday, April 3, Kevin Davis joins IMRF as Field Representative for the newly established Northeast Territory.

Kevin Davis Northeast Territory Field Representative |
Kevin holds a B.S. degree and a M.S. degree from Illinois State University, and has more than 20 years' experience in the public and private sectors. In this new position, Kevin will work with IMRF employers and members to explain and answer questions about the IMRF benefit program and procedures. He will also conduct employee workshops, Authorized Agent certification programs, and other informational presentations.

Kevin will represent IMRF in the newly established Northeast Territory. This new territory includes Lake and McHenry Counties, Cook County north of Palatine/Willow Road, and Kane County north of Route 20. The addition of the new Northeast Territory may have affected employers in the Central, East Central, Metro North, Metro South, Northern, and Western Territories. | Employer Survey to release |
IMRF will distribute its employer survey on Monday, April 3. The survey will be sent via email to all Authorized Agents and Web Assistants, and should take less than five minutes to complete.
Responses to this survey will be used to gauge employer opinions on the services IMRF currently provides, and help improve our established processes. For example, in response to prior survey feedback, IMRF has added a new Field Representative for the new Northeast Territory.
Upon receipt of the emailed survey, all Authorized Agents and Web Assistants are encouraged to complete and return the survey to IMRF no later than Monday, April 17. Your participation and comments will help IMRF continue to provide the highest quality retirement services to our employers and members.

| Preliminary Rate Notices available April 3 |
On Monday, April 3, IMRF will release your employer's 2018 Preliminary Contribution Rate Notice. This document may be found in the new Annual Documentation section of Employer Access.
This notice provides your estimated 2018 Annual Contribution Rate for its IMRF plans.
The information provided in this document is necessary for financial planning, accounting, and reporting purposes.
Employers are reminded to log in to Employer Access to retrieve the documents.

| Rate Meeting Registration Continues |
Registration continues for IMRF's 2017 Employer Rate Meetings. These meetings, held throughout the state, will review the impact of year-end financial and actuarial data on IMRF, and the data's estimated impact on individual employers.
IMRF encourages you, your chief financial officer, governing body members, other officials, and interested parties from your employer to attend the meeting scheduled in your area. Authorized Agents may register online using Employer Access or complete and return the 2017 Employer Rate Meetings Registration Form.

Providing payroll services to another employer?
Consider these cautions

It is not unusual for an IMRF employer to provide payroll services for another employer. This often occurs for a cooperative organized under the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act, or for a joint educational program. In some cases, however, the IMRF employer providing the payroll services may erroneously report employees of the other employer to IMRF under their employer number.
