Over the past several years, the Incline Education Fund has worked tirelessly to help develop, support, and enhance the Incline Middle School (IMS) Exploratory Program. Designed under the STEP Up for STE(A)M initiative, the program provides IMS students with hands-on, real-world experiences to help them shape their futures.
The IMS Exploratory Program is divided into four key categories: College/Career Readiness, Physical Sciences, Environmental and Technological Sciences, and the Arts. Throughout the school year, students rotate through quarter-length classes in each category, gaining exposure to diverse fields and practical knowledge.
This year, the program introduced a Financial Literacy class, which proved to be a huge success. IMS students learned essential financial skills, including budgeting and investing. In a simulated stock market exercise, their savvy stock picks (including Nvidia) resulted in impressive gains - which they voted to generously “donate back” to fund future Exploratory initiatives.
Classroom topics covered financial planning, cost-of-living exercises and scholarship opportunities. They also participated in field trips to local businesses (IVGID offices, US Bank, Azzara’s) where the students got real-world insights into careers, the job search process and entrepreneurship.
These young investors are shaping their futures, and the Incline Education Fund invites you to be part of their journey. By donating today, you’ll help fuel their dreams and empower the next generation of innovators.
