A Message From Our President
Dear IMS Family & Friends,

Welcome to the start of a new school year! I want to extend a special welcome to our new families - we are so happy to have you as part of the IMS family. By this time, I hope that all of our students are getting settled into their classrooms and acquainted with their teachers, who worked very hard over the summer to prepare for the start of the new school year.

As part of our August Professional Development days, all IMS faculty and staff came together to celebrate Mass and to kick off the school year by breaking bread together as an IMS community. They also participated in a network-wide Catechetical Workshop – a day that was intended to assist in the spiritual formation of all IMS teachers and school leaders and to develop their knowledge of the Gospel message and prepare them to lead better prayer in our classrooms.

I am pleased to share that last year we made many great academic strides towards our goal of transforming math instruction and achievement in grades Pre-K-5. With the roll-out of our new math curriculum, Eureka Math, we were able to build teacher expertise in math instruction and deepen leader practice, and as a result, we saw students make learning gains and demonstrate higher achievement in math. We’re excited to offer Eureka Math to our middle school students this year with a similar level of support for teachers and leaders.

I am proud and humbled to be leading an organization of educators and professionals who are so deeply committed to our mission of providing a life-changing education to our students by delivering rigorous academic instruction and instilling Catholic values.
I am looking forward to a great year!

Holy Cross Alumni Donate 60 Amazon Fire 8 Tablets

Last school year, Holy Cross collected over $600 pennies for their Pennies for Tablet Drive. When Holy Cross Alumni heard about the Penny Drive they decided to donate $3,200! Those funds were used to purchase 60 Amazon Fire 8 Tablets to help the K-5th grade teachers manage small group instruction. The $600 will go towards purchasing high-quality headphones for the tablets.

St. Rose of Lima Receives Renovation
250 St. Rose of Lima students were welcomed back to a newly renovated school that includes (among other items): new classroom furniture, new bathrooms, a new fire alarm system, air conditioning, new outdoor lighting, new windows and upgraded electricity. Thank you to the generous individuals and charitable foundations for enabling us to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment that will last for generations of St. Rose of Lima students to come!

St. Malachy Partners with Sister Cities Girlchoir
This past spring, Saint Malachy participated in a one-month pilot of a girls’ and boys’ choir program. The school partnered with the Sister Cities Girlchoir (SCG) in order to bring an afterschool musical program to their students. “With a shared goal of excellence and positive youth development, we felt that introducing SCG to our students was completely in line with our mission”, said Steve Janczewski, Principal of St. Malachy, who is looking to secure funding to continue the program this year.
