Last month, our 15 Independence Mission Schools took part in Catholic Schools Week, the national celebration of Catholic schools. All schools participated in a variety of activities to celebrate the daily themes of parish, community, students, vocations, teachers and families. A big thanks to everyone who helped make #CSW20 great!
Congratulations to Ms. Alzate, our St. Helena-Incarnation parent, who was selected as the winner of our February #SpreadTheLove contest! Here is why she loves her IMS school: “I love St. Helena-Incarnation Catholic School because it helps my kids to develop a strong religious foundation, in addition it promotes responsibility and respect for others. I find St. Helena to be a supportive environment.”
Thanks to all who entered! We will feature your comments in our "Why IMS" campaign (see next article).

The health and safety of our students and staff is a top priority. Please visit our coronavirus (COVID-19) webpage to stay up-to-date on the latest information and resources including free meals for students and keeping learning going during the current school closure.
We could not be more proud of our DePaul Catholic students and staff who participated in this film! Each student was asked “What does grace mean to you?” Their answers were truthful, eloquent and profound.
Visit the Miraculous Medal Shrine website to see the videos and sign up to receive the daily Lenten video reflections - many featuring our students and staff!
St. Martin of Toursuses mascot, Marty the Lion, as the basis for their PBIS model. Our St. Martin of Tours students use ROAR (Reasonable, Original, Able, and Resilient) to serve as a model for making good choices. Students can earn Marty tickets when they make positive choices, and each Friday they can draw tickets to determine who gets to go pick a prize in Marty's Den.
