One-time Certification Exemption Expires Soon

As previously reported, the policy of allowing a one-time exemption to renew your outdated certifications is set to expire on January 1, 2024. Your IMSA certification is good for three years. During that time, you have several options for acquiring the needed continuing education credits (CECs) for renewal including technical/vocational coursework, webinars and the IMSA CEC Library.

Once the three years have elapsed, your certification is no longer valid and will need to be renewed. For more information on how to renew visit https://www.imsasafety.org/certification-renewal/ or email cert@imsasafety.com

2024 IMSA Forum and Expo Call for Presenters

In the coming weeks, we will be opening the event portal to submit your ideas and outlines for technical sessions. Certification Update

In the January/February issue of the Journal, the Certification Corner will cover the following topics:

Review of IMSAs registration and cancellation policies. With the change to online testing and reviews some of the longstanding registration and cancelation policies have been updated. Make sure you know all the details before you sign up for your next review session.

What is my Section? Knowing what Section you are in is important when signing up for classes and training. The Certification Corner will walk you through how to determine what section you are in as well as how to contact your Section leadership for help with certification and training.

2024 Spring Certification Schools. Many of the IMSA Sections run certification reviews and testing during the months of March, April and Mary. In the Certification Corner, we will list the sections that have announced their meetings and how you can get more information on all of the exam review classes being held year-round.
