The 2025 Tri-State Summer Meeting was one to remember! From insightful sessions to networking to sunshine, sand, and spirited competition, the week was filled with moments that reminded us just how special the concrete industry is. We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us - attendees, special guest speakers, and especially our generous sponsors. Your participation and support helped make this event a true success.

The Mississippi Concrete Association honored several Mississippi legislative leaders and State Aid Officials for their support and contributions in assisting MCA in passing HB-150, which will allow Ready-Mix trucks to carry additional weight on Mississippi State and local roads.

The crowd for the 2025 event was one of the largest crowds that we have ever had! In addition, MCA hosted Architects, Contractors, Developers, Engineers, and not to mention, members of MCA and US Homeland Security. We were also thankful to host leadership and lobbyists from several other Associations in Mississippi.

From the Director

Dear MCA members,

July has been a very busy time for the Mississippi Concrete Association (MCA)! We hosted a very successful Concrete convention at the Sandestin Beach & Golf Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida. MCA hosted with the Alabama Concrete Industries Association (ACIA) and Tennessee Concrete Association (TCA) with 420 attendees enjoying the wonderful beaches, sun, and golf!

Mark your calendars now for the 2026 Concrete Convention, as MCA will once again partner with ACIA and TCA and join with the Kentucky Concrete Association. We are expecting a crowd of 600 attendees, so be sure and make your reservations when the room block is released in early spring, 2026!

MCA had a very good turnout at “Day of Concrete” that was held in Oxford (July 22 with 39 in attendance) and Biloxi (July 24 with 24 in attendance)! Combined these dates with the “Day of Concrete” in Pearl, Mississippi (which had 47 in attendance). Combined attendees for 2025 “Day of Concrete” were 110 vs. 90 attendees for 2024 (+22.2% increase!)

ACI Classes are starting soon. MCA needs proctors! So, if you are currently ACI-Certified, please volunteer to be a proctor for our Field Testing at our Pearl class on October 1, 2025, and especially for our new class in Gulfport, Mississippi with the Field Testing to be held on October 22, 2025.

Thank you for the opportunity to advocate, educate, and promote Concrete in Mississippi and represent you, the members of the Mississippi Concrete Association!

Joel
