Women In Need
is making a difference
in the midst of
COVID-19!

WIN's FRONT-LINE & ESSENTIAL
SHELTER ADVOCACY TEAM
is still providing for our most vulnerable
adults and children within Local Communities

FAMILY VIOLENCE SERVICES
including
24/7 Hotline & Emergency Shelter!

Following our Texas State Governor,
Greg Abbott's directives,
Hunt & Rockwall County are practicing
"Shelter in Place" & "Social Distancing!"
~
WIN's ADVOCACY TEAM are still serving family violence victims and their children. **Sadly, isolation, victimization & hotline calls have Increase since this pandemic started. Children who could go to school before - as a way of staying from their abuser, are now subject to the physical and sexual abuse that has occurred in the past 24/7. Their daily refuge "their local schools" are not open or available as a safe place any longer.  WIN's highly trained Advocates are now providing virtual groups sessions and remote crisis intervention services!

WIN's EDUCATION TEAM are committed to doing whatever we can to reach those in need. The Team, is prepared and ready to serve students virtually. Education currently available is information on the different types Abuse, Red Flag Behaviors found in relationships and and some key elements in Prevention Education like the power of choice and boundaries. This programming is not only available still for your students and family, but its information is empowering and in some cases it's the first step in getting students and even some family members safe.

WIN's OUTREACH TEAM is committed to building Community Awareness for those community members, adults and children being shut in with their abuser & in need. WIN's Outreach Team wants YOU to know that..
