FirstLight Fiber's Van Wagenen Appointed Vice Chairman of INCOMPAS Board of Directors 
INCOMPAS Vice Chairman Kurt Van Wagenen
The INCOMPAS Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Kurt Van Wagenen, president and CEO of FirstLight Fiber, as vice chairman of the association. In this role, he also will serve on the executive committee. 

Van Wagenen has led FirstLight Fiber since October 2013. Earlier in his career, he held C-level roles at FiberTower Corporation, NEON Communications and Globix Corporation.

INCOMPAS Urges the FCC to Move on One-Touch, Make-Ready
Last week INCOMPAS and representatives from member companies Uniti Fiber and Rocket Fiber met with the Federal Communications Commission's Wireline Competition Bureau to discuss policies related to pole attachments. The association and its members again expressed support for the adoption of a one-touch, make-ready (OTMR) policy, as recommended by the FCC's Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee. In an ex parte, INCOMPAS outlined flaws in the ASAP proposal put forth in the record by NCTA and others.
