  • Innovation and Access Working Group will report on its activities to recommend solutions to reduce entry barriers and encourage ownership and management of media, digital, communications services and next-generation technology properties, and start-ups to encourage viewpoint diversity by a broad range of voices.
  • Diversity and Equity Working Group will report on its progress in examining how the FCC can affirmatively advance equity, civil rights, racial justice, and equal opportunity in the telecommunications industry to address inequalities in workplace employment policies and programs.
NARUC to Consider Lifeline, Affordable Connectivity Resolutions
NARUC released draft resolutions that it will consider at its Summer Policy Summit, including one recommending state commissions, the FCC and USAC work together with federal and state agencies that implement programs whose target participants are eligible for Lifeline and the Affordable Connectivity Programs. The resolution also urged the FCC and USAC to establish agreements with federal and state departments of agriculture and health and human services, and other federal and state agencies implementing programs that establish consumers’ eligibility for Lifeline and ACP.
