Advancing IP Routing with Confidence: Using LERG to Support Transition from TDM to IP

As the industry accelerates its transition from TDM to IP-based routing, CSPs face growing pressure to ensure routing accuracy, interoperability and transparency across increasingly complex interconnection environments. Understanding where and how IP routing can be supported, both today and in the future, is critical to maintaining reliable call delivery and operational readiness.

Join us for "Advancing IP Routing with Confidence: Using the LERG to Support the Transition from TDM to IP," where Connie Hartman, TNS's director - Product Management for the Communications Market will explore how TNS, through the TRA LERG Routing Guide & RouteSelect, enables CSPs can simply and securely publish and leverage authoritative IP routing information at the Central Office Code and Thousands-Block level, including IP-capable number ranges, IP-routable Local Routing Numbers (LRNs) and associated Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs).

  • Discover how CSPs can publish secondary and tertiary routing options for both TDM and IP environments, supporting greater flexibility and resilience during the transition period.

  • Learn how these tools support informed routing decisions, simplify interconnection management and provide a practical path toward IP routing adoption.

  • Gain insights into next steps, including opportunities for further discussions and hands-on demonstrations.

House E&C to Host Hearing June 3 on Federal Data Privacy Law

Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-KY), Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, and Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-FL), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade announced a hearing: “Examining Legislation to Establish a Federal Comprehensive Privacy and Data Security Law.”

“Americans across the political spectrum want a national data privacy and data security standard with strong, enforceable protections,” said Chairmen Guthrie and Bilirakis. “The SECURE Data Act follows the successful model many red, blue, and purple states have already enacted into law, putting our constituents in charge of their data and holding bad actors accountable.”

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, June 3, at 10:15 a.m. ET.
