Hello dear Freedom Lovers!

Action 1: Help Immigrants

We just got wind of a super urgent call to contact the CoCo Board of Supervisors to call an emergency meeting on April 30 (before May 1). We need them to meet and put the SAFE Center for immigrants on the agenda. They had allocated money a year ago but have delayed finding a place to lease office space.

Back story: Right now the DOJ is forcing SF immigration court on Montgomery street to close by May 1, and greatly reduce the capacity for immigrant asylum seekers to get help. The corrupted DOJ is closing it 8 months earlier than they said they would.

As a result, immigrants will be directed to Concord immigration court and CoCo County for help. Though $5 million was allocated in April 2025 for the SAFE Center in CoCo county, the Board of Supervisors still have YET to put it on the agenda to find office space for the program.

So, in essence, for 1 year, there has been no physical space to help immigrants, even though the program is ready to go - the need will greatly increase by May 1 - this week!!!

Contact your County Board Supervisor and ask them to:

  1. Call an Emergency Meeting for April 30 or ASAP
  2. Put the SAFE Center funding on the agenda
  3. Demand they locate and sign a lease for an office space for the immigrants who will be flocking to East Bay come May 1 when one of two SF immigration courts close
