I truly enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of "Teach In" at Legacy Middle. I am so proud of Mr. Jimenez and Ms. Vargas for their exceptional leadership, thank you for the invitation!
Colonial High: Congratulations to our Ceramics II student, Alexis Bailey, who recieved the Merit Award in the sculpture/3D category for her Sgraffito Tripod Vessel at the 45th Annual Maitland Rotary Art Festival.
What a successful event at OCPS’ 2021 State of the Schools. So proud of our community's collaborative effort to support our families, staff, and students!
Timber Creek High: We are incredibly proud of our TCHS Regiment who took first place at the Florida Marching Band State Championships (FMBC)!
Lake Nona High: Sr. Jordan Agliano won the FHSAA State Championship in the 100 Fly. This is the 1st ever, Swim Team Individual State Champion for Lake Nona High School! Congratulations to both Jordan and Coach Bennett for their success this year and a big THANK YOU to all the LNHS supporters and fans for another great year!
Ventura Elementary: Thank you to all who are veterans, those who live and love veterans, remember our veterans…as we cherish the life and joys we share together in this land.

Our VES patrols visited our local VFW for some special ceremonies and celebrations.
Waterford Elementary: Congratulations to Mrs. Moody for winning a Teacher Impact Grant for Nonfiction Classroom Library! Thank you to the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools for supporting teachers and students with this amazing opportunity.

OCPS: We are excited to announce that Engage 360: Virtual Lunch and Learn will offer another great parent and family engagement event. The session topic is “Parenting in a Digital World.” Families will learn about cyberbullying, social media, screen time, and online safety. Click here to watch the video(s) on Facebook live.
Upcoming Events 

OCPS Parent Academy: As the holidays approach, join us for a special Engage 360: Lunch and Learn, added in response to the needs of our families and community. The session topic is Strategies for Family Mental Health and Wellness during the Holiday Season. Families will learn how to identify symptoms of increased depression, loneliness, or isolation in their children during the holiday season. Strategies will be shared for the entire family to have a socially, emotionally and mentally safe holiday.

OCPS Multilingual Services: During this bilingual presentation, parents will be able to identify the most common family challenges and ways to overcome them. In addition, parents will be able to identify a wide variety of services available in the community such as food pantries, neighborhood centers, social networks, among others.

OCPS Newsroom: OCPS’ magnet programs offer educational choices

Parents and students can learn more through a virtual Magnet Fair. Orange County Public Schools is hosting a virtual Magnet Fair to promote its specialized learning programs known as magnets. All parents and students are invited to learn more about the magnet programs offered in elementary, middle and high schools. These focused programs encourage academic excellence in highly specialized areas of study and often pave a road into post-secondary schools and colleges.
