TVUUC Members and Friends,

This is a reminder that on Sunday, January 11, Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church will hold its Mid-Year Congregational Meeting at 12:30 p.m. We will discuss and review several important congregational matters. Your input and participation are priceless, and we encourage everyone to attend.

In addition to our normal congregation business, we will have a special visitor attending. Stewardship Consultant, Sara Green, will be with us the weekend of January 9th. She will meet with our board and staff on Friday, and some of our members, committees, and volunteer leaders on Saturday morning, to hear about our culture, concerns, and our hopes and priorities for moving forward.

A core focus of the visit will be on identifying recommended next steps and practical information to help us successfully nurture a healthy stewardship culture that enables us to do powerful work in our community.

During the second half of our meeting, Sara will present her initial observations and recommendations to our entire congregation. A detailed written report will be delivered within two weeks of the visit.

All Friends and Members are welcome to attend; however, you must be a Member of the church, be registered, and checked in before the meeting to vote.

Members of TVUUC can vote in one of 3 ways:

  1. In person with an anonymous paper ballot, provided after registering, and cast during the meeting.
  2. Via proxy, by providing an attending member with a written statement, who will then receive an additional paper ballot at registration. Proxy Voting Policy & Form (proxy forms will be available at the Welcome Table).
  3. Via online ballot, by attending the meeting virtually and following a link that will be shared in the meeting chat during the time to cast votes. Online Voting Policy

Meeting Documents - Please open and read the following documents before the meeting, and be prepared to vote accordingly.
