Many guests come through The INN's emergency shelters and move on to different places. Some are able to find their own permanent housing, some move on to other shelters. Recently, many of the guests who were in emergency housing have been able to take advantage of The INN's Long-Term Housing program which emphasizes educational and employment support for families who work and earn enough income to support their housing goals.
The "A-D" family moved to the Rosa Parks INN (RPI) from another local shelter in January 2015 after the parents and their two young daughters witnessed a traumatic event. The girls quickly blossomed at RPI and loved being in a clean house with a playroom. Mr. "A" is employed and just a few credits short of his Bachelor's degree. Mrs. "D" was able to land a job while living in RPI. The loving family applied for the Long-Term Housing program and were accepted, moving into a home of their own in June, just five months after their arrival to RPI. We know this loving, hardworking family will reach their goals and continue to have great success.
