Interested in Partnering with the Greater DC Diaper Bank? Then Act Now!

The  Greater DC Diaper Bank, founded in 2010, is expanding its services in Prince George's County. The  next application round is open - and the first step in the application process is a site visit to the Warehouse, on Thursday, Dec. 6.

The Greater DC Diaper Bank provides diapers and other hygiene essentials to social service organizations that are already connected to and helping low-income families in the DC metro area through comprehensive programs and services. The Greater DC Diaper Bank Distribution Network is currently partnering with 44 organizations in DC, Maryland, and Virginia who distribute over 150,000 diapers a month.

Interested organizations should consider how diapers can be integrated into existing programs to enhance services rather than offering them as an add-on program. Current partners receive up to 5,000, or 10,000 diapers per month. Annually, partners receive between $25,000 and $50,000 worth of diapers, baby items, and other hygiene supplies free of charge. Partners pick up their diapers at the warehouse in Silver Spring, MD, at which time they can also "shop" at their Baby Pantry which has other baby essentials like wipes, formula, diaper cream, etc.

If you would like to be part of the next application round, please email info@greaterdcdiaperbank.org for more information and mark your calendars for Thursday's site visit.
