The Prince George's County Council is hosting a Non-profit Training Camp on Capacity Building & Collaboration on Wednesday, Oct. 9. We encourage our members to attend this unique training opportunity; therefore, we are rescheduling our IDEAS & INFO Luncheon on Strategic Planning for a later date. Join us in celebrating Prince George's County's 8th Annual Nonprofit Awareness Week (in some materials, you will see "Month" as we celebrate throughout October). Nonprofit Awareness Week was established to illuminate the exceptional contributions of Prince George's County nonprofits. Our theme-- I'M IN: I'm INspired to serve, I'm INvolved with community, I'm INvested in nonprofits!--expresses the vital roles of individual stakeholders.  

Nonprofit Showcase
Join the resource fair showcasing the great work of 10 Nonprofit Prince George's County members! This will kick off Prince George's County's 8th Annual Nonprofit Awareness Month (#NAW19). More details on Nonprofit Awareness Month and how you and your organization can get involved will be shared in an upcoming email.

Executive Roundtable
The Nonprofit Executive Director Roundtable offered in partnership with Maryland Nonprofits and Nonprofit Prince George's County is a supportive space for leaders to share their challenges in a confidential setting. Being a nonprofit executive director or CEO can be one of the most rewarding, yet stressful jobs. Providing leadership for the board and for the staff can leave the executive director without peers within an organization, which can be isolating. This training is free for members of Nonprofit Prince George's County or Maryland Nonprofits. Join us on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 9 - 11 a.m. at our offices. Register now.

Looking for grants for your nonprofit? Learn how to use Foundation Directory Online (FDO), the most comprehensive prospect research tool for fundraisers, with over 140,000 grantmaker profiles. You will learn how to search for grantmakers who have funded organizations working on causes and with communities similar to those you serve. Community Development Block Grant Applications Available Sept. 25
The Prince George's County Department of Housing and Community Development will be accepting Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for Program Year 46, covering July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021. Applications will be available online on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. There is a free training offered on September 25 from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm. To register for the training, sending an e-mail to PMHafford@co.pg.md.us . I nterested parties may also request an application by calling 301-883-5540. The Denney House, Inc. was founded to empower the youth in the state of Maryland to discover their unique purpose in life and equip them with the tools to unlock their full potential. The 2019 Civic Leadership Awards Nonprofit Leader of the Year will be announced Oct. 24 at the MGM National Harbor Resort and Casino. The Community Foundation in Prince George’s County is recognizing four local leaders (three of whom are members of Nonprofit Prince George's County).
