ON-LINE COURSE

Inspired by Paul Klee

I have just completed a 5 week course (2 hours a week) teaching a wonderful bunch of students from the USA, Switzerland, Scotland and other parts of the UK.

These courses do take a great deal of time to plan, but when blessed with such a great, willing bunch of students it makes it all worthwhile. 15 students joined me on this journey and I will just give you a brief glimpse of some of the work that they did. Of course with 15 students over 5 weeks there is a mountain of images that I could share but have selected just a few.

The first set of images I am showing focus on Paul Klee's use of grids in design and the second set on his use of colour. We also considered his use of 'imagery' and how he incorporated 'line' in his work.

This course will be on offer again in the New Year with Part 2 to follow.

This next batch of images focusses on colour.

All work was carried out in sketchbooks to record this journey.

The work was so varied and it was so wonderful to receive the homework each week.

THANK YOU TO ALL THESE WONDERFUL STUDENTS

Do watch out for when this course is next advertised in 2027.

BOBBY'S WORKSHOP AT MUSEUM IN THE PARK

Tone and Line on Bark Cloth

What a lovely two days I had down in Stroud at the 'Museum in the Park'. On the Saturday I was teaching and on the Sunday I did a 'Meet the Artist' slot and I met some lovely people at both events. On the course we were working with tone and line and using our designs to translate onto bark cloth. Here are some results.

Don't forget to check out any remaining workshops on offer via the TEXTILE STUDY GROUP.

Just pop over to the Museum in the Park website by clicking HERE.

OTHER NEWS

Workshop in Somerset

Thank you to the lovely group 'Somerset Creative Textiles', who booked me last weekend. What a great group you all were. I thoroughly enjoyed myself with you all. Thanks to Penny for hosting me and to all the students on my course. It was such a busy workshop that I did not take any images, so sorry about that.

Bye for now and thanks for dropping by. Bobby
