Join Artistic Director William Gill for a four-day training intensive that benefits dancers and performing artists of all genres.

JHDC faculty will join William in leading classes that continue the tradition of dancer training and development for which JHDC is known. The intensive includes:

Ballet
Modern (Graham-based)
Jazz
Choreography from the Joel Hall Dancers repertoire
Original work from Artistic Director Gill
A "lunch and learn" session to discuss career advancement

Sessions take place at the JHDC training studio in Chicago (4511 N. Clark).

Extras: Reduced price ($10) access to JHDC classes not included in intensive, from Monday, August 3 - Sunday, August 9

Co-Artistic Director of Noumenon Dance Ensemble Nina-Rose Wardanian leads a two-hour masterclass in Contemporary technique.

Join her in our studio for lessons in the technique, personal attention, and an opportunity to talk and build a relationship with one of Chicago's emerging artistic directors.

2026-2027 Joel Hall Dancers Trainee Program

Join Artistic Director William Gill in a joint-audition for the Joel Hall Dancers Trainee Program and Noumenon Dance Ensemble on Sunday, August 30.

Taking place in 4511 N. Clark, this is your chance to be seen by the leadership of both the Joel Hall Dancers and Noumenon Dance Ensemble.

Auditions run from 10 AM - 2 PM on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 4511 N. Clark.

Auditionees should arrive promptly at 10 AM to register. Please bring a headshot and resume.
