WASHINGTON, DC - Following two fan-favorite performances of the classic Bill Withers anthem "Lean on Me" and Justin Timberlake's chart-topping "Can't Stop The Feeling" on the top-rated television variety competition show "America's Got Talent," (AGT) The Players Choir is riding high! Despite the tough elimination they faced in the semi-final round, The Players Choir was nominated by judge Simon Cowell for a coveted wild card position in the finals. Now the group is preparing for their next big performances at the Washington Commanders Alumni Homecoming and 90th Anniversary game this Sunday, October 23 at FedExField in Landover, Maryland and the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration during the biggest week in sports, 2023 Super Bowl LVII in Phoenix!

Created by Super Bowl Gospel Celebration founder Melanie Few, the Players Choir was developed to showcase the vocal talent of active and former NFL players who wanted to share their faith through song. The Players Choir is on a mission to inspire all within the sound of their ‘joyful noise’ to live in purpose and find success through pursuing their passion. Players Choir members have included some of the NFL’s most popular and talented players on and off the field, including Super Bowl Champions, Pro Bowlers, NFL Men of the Year and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees. For the first time, this year the Players Choir came together to audition for America’s Got Talent with their performance of Bill Withers' iconic "Lean on Me." Their performance of Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop The Music" brought down the house and landed the ensemble among the Top 5 performers in the first live round of the AGT semi-finals.
