Federal Open Market Committee meeting. Rate decision Wednesday at 2 pm EDT. Fed Chair Jerome Powell holds a press conference on Wednesday at 2:30 pm EDT to discuss the US economy and monetary policy. Economists expect the Fed to keep interest rates on hold while clearing a path for a cut if needed.

The Fed to release stress test results in two stages. The first step, on Friday, will show the hypothetical losses firms would face under Fed’s calculations. The second step, on June 27, will incorporate the banks’ planned cash distributions to see if they can meet required minimum capital levels in a stressed environment.
