The Federal Reserve’s Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) announces its decision on interest rates followed by a statement at 2 pm EDT. Fed Chair Jerome Powell holds a news conference at 2:30 pm EDT. Fed officials are expected to hold interest rates steady while making adjustments to their characterization of the economy to reflect firmer data.
