The Federal Open Market Committee announces its rate decision and could reveal plans to provide longer-run accommodation to the U.S. economy. Fed officials held interest rates near zero at their last meeting and signaled in their quarterly forecast that they expect to keep them there through 2022. FOMC rate decision at 2 pm. Fed chair Jerome Powell holds post-FOMC meeting news conference at 2:30 pm.
