FOMC (Federal Open Market Committee)
minutes released from the Sept. 17-18 policy meeting. Fed officials lowered rates 25 basis points to 1.75% in a split decision: three officials voted against the move.
The minutes are likely to shed some light on the thinking behind these opposing views ahead of the late October meeting, when the markets are expecting the Fed to once again cut rates by a quarter-point.
