We are pleased to share with you IOM’s latest research outputs and updates, including links to the recently launched World Migration Report 2020 (English and Spanish), a special issue of International Migration, which features op-eds by IOM Director General, Antonio Vitorino, and UNHCR's Filippo Grandi and a blog on migrants' contributions authored by Ian Goldin of Oxford University and Marie McAuliffe of IOM published on International Migrants' Day by the World Economic Forum. This update also includes the latest Migration Research Series paper authored by Martina Belmonte and Simon McMahon, an announcement of new editors for the International Migration journal and an opinion piece by IOM's head of research on migrant smuggling the potential of the GCM to provide solutions. The forthcoming Handbook on Migration and Development, edited by Tanja Bastia & Ron Skeldon, is also featured as well a thank you message from IOM Research.

The World Migration Report (WMR) 2020 was launched on 27 November in Geneva by IOM Director General, Antonio Vitorino. The WMR 2020 is the first to be published in a digital-only format, in recognition of the need for environmentally sustainable material both content and process. Download your copy here. The journal International Migration recently published a special issue on the Global Compact for Migration and the Global Compact on Refugees. The special issues features op-eds by IOM's Director General, Antonio Vitorino and UNHCR's Filippo Grandi. The issue is open-access and free to download for a short period.

The editorial office of International Migration has moved to Turkey and IOM and Wiley are pleased to announce the selection of the new editors of the journal. Professors Ahmet İçduygu and Jan Rath, along with Associate Professor Deniz Ş. Sert and Assistant Professor Ayşen Üstübici will begin their two‐year term on January 1, 2020.
