Feedback: Inverness Bicycle Festival 2012

DUFI at Bike Festival

Supporting Inverness' first Bicycle Festival IOTA invited artists DUFI (Fin Macrae and Alister MacInnes) to lead a very popular t-shirt design workshops. The memorable and genuinely family friendly day also featured the 7 Stanes bike display team and cycling skills with Velocity. Read DUFI's blog or visit our Facebook page.

Update: Highland Council Public Art Strategy

Matt Baker RTPI

Last week IOTA and artist Matt Baker (pictured) met with the Highlands & Islands RTPI Chapter (planners, architects and developers), to discuss how Public Art can act as a key tool during all stages of planning for developing, interpreting and connecting the fabric of a place. The event is part of a programme related to The Highland Council's current draft supplementary guidance for Public Art which seeks responses until 6th July. Click here to comment on the document. For background info read the update Public Art Strategic Framework for the Highlands commissioned by The Highland Culture Strategic Board.

Lastly we'd like to welcome Diarmaid Lawlor, Head of Urbanism for Architecture + Design Scotland, to the wider IOTA team.

Yours sincerely
