We are so excited to announce our new Board Treasurer, Kathryn Westoll and our new Selection Committee Chair, Craig Harrison.
Kathryn Westoll, Board Treasurer
This past fall, IPAY Treasurer Carolyn Elliot shared that she would not seek a second term on the board and wanted to assist in the transition of bringing on a new Treasurer. The board nominated and selected Kathryn Westoll, and after overlapping with Carolyn for the last few months, we are delighted to officially welcome her as our new Treasurer on the IPAY Board of Directors. Kathryn is the Managing Director of Geordie Theatre in Montreal, and brings a keen eye for financial stewardship to our organization. Please join us in thanking Carolyn Elliot for her dedicated service on the board as she finishes out her term through June 2020, and in welcoming Kathryn Westoll to her new role.
Craig Harrison, Selection Committee Chair
We are also pleased to welcome Craig Harrison of Adelaide, Australia in his new role as Selection Committee Chair. For the last six years, our Selection Committee has been under the excellent guidance of co-chairs Rebecca Podsednik of Lincoln Center and Jim Packard of Long Island Children’s Museum. We are ever grateful for the rigor and anchoring values that Rebecca and Jim instilled in the Selection Process, and we are excited to collaborate with Craig as he leads the selection process for Showcase 2021.

Welcome Craig and Kathryn. Thank you Rebecca, Jim, and Carolyn for your many years of hard work and good counsel!

We are celebrating an incredible new fellowship opportunity honoring Cole White Samuel with TYA/USA
Photo of Cole shared by Cheryle.
In honor of Cole White Samuel, the son of long-time IPAY member and previous Mickey Miners Award Winner, Cheryle Hansen, TYA/USA has launched a vital new initiative as part of their Emerging Leaders in TYA Fellowship.

The Cole White Samuel Fellowship Fund supports an artist with a disability in the TYA/USA Emerging Leader Fellowship Program. Cole enjoyed going to the theatre so much but was limited to certain productions due to his disability. Through this opportunity, Cole’s memory can live on through the arts and support a person with a disability to discover their hopes and dreams.

Opportunity for Artists with Disabilities: This year, supported by a generous donation, we are expanding the emerging leader fellowship program with a dedicated spot for a candidate who identifies as an artist with a disability. (This particular opportunity is open to American or Canadian artists).

Applications are due today, February 14. More information about the Emerging Leaders Fellowship can be found here.

We are incredibly saddened to hear the news of Cole passing. We know that he would be so proud of TYA/USA championing the work of artists with disabilities.
