Prince George's County's Investment in Matching Program Lifts Up Local Farms and Families
The Prince George's County Food Equity Council, a multi-sector food policy group incubated at IPHI, advocated for County Council to allocate $130,000 in the fiscal year 2019 budget to support a program that provides a dollar-for-dollar match for purchases made using federal nutrition assistance at participating county farmers markets.

The DC Healthy Housing Collaborative Launches
The DC Healthy Housing Collaborative
(DCHHC) is a new multi-sector coalition seeking to address substandard housing conditions that contribute to significant health issues affecting District residents.
The Collaborative held its inaugural meeting with broad participation from public and private sectors involved in housing, public health, health care, legal services, public policy, and other perspectives. IPHI is a coordinating member of the Collaborative and serves as its backbone organization.

Workers' Conference
On July 24 and 25, 2018, IPHI co-hosted the First Annual DC Outreach Workers' Conference with DC Primary Care Assocaition (DCPCA), DC Health, and La Clinica del Pueblo. The 2-day event brought together CHWs, outreach workers, and stakeholders to participate in workshops, network, and get up-to-date information on the state of public health in the District.

The HEAL Cities & Towns Campaign Engages Nine Municipalities at the Annual Maryland Municipal League Conference
This past June, the Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Campaign awarded Maryland Cities and Towns for joining the Campaign and passing new policies related to healthy eating, active living, and workplace wellness. Since 2012, IPHI has provided complimentary technical assistance to 65 local municipalities to help them create healthier communities.
