IPM FOOD PANTRY

September 2025

September is National Hunger Action Month. This observance allows us to not only to raise awareness about food insecurity, but to understand our responsibility in addressing hunger.

IPM’s Food First Philosophy works to address these barriers, subsequently alleviating the burden of hunger on families in our region. Having to navigate transportation challenges, work schedules, health conditions, and the stigma associated with visiting a food pantry, some of our neighbors may find visiting IPM to be a daunting experience. When we meet them where they are in creating a welcoming and unjudgmental environment where each person receives the groceries they need, it makes creating a food-secure community that much more possible.

There is a growing need in our community, and together we can support families experiencing food insecurity. In 2024, IPM saw a 44% increase in total pounds of food distributed and a 45% increase in the number of zip codes we served. So far in 2025, IPM has recorded 74,062 individual visits and has distributed 1,386,769 pounds of food. Respectively, this reflects a 7 percent increase in individual visits and an 11 percent increase in the total pounds of food distributed over the same period of time in 2024.

This Hunger Action Month, donate now to join us in meeting this growing need in our community!
