IPM Provides Pop-Up Pantry Bags for Monday Meals
at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection
|
|
IPM hit the road again recently to supply food and personal care bags to the diners at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection's (LCR) Monday Meals program. The monthly community dinners, which resumed last month after a Covid-19 hiatus, served home-cooked meals to about three dozen people recently.
Among the regular attendees are mother and daughter Georgia and Kelly. "It's great to have a girls' night out with Mom and have a home-cooked meal I don't have to prepare," said Kelly.
"I love this program," said Georgia. "Being able to get together with people we know and to get to meet new people. I live by myself and it's great to eat delicious homemade food. The IPM bags are a big help at the end of the month, too."
"The IPM care packages are amazing," Kelly added. "I went to the store yesterday and was shocked at the prices. These bags tell me that there are people who care."

“The LCR Monday Meals program is a way for members to put their faith into action. We can truly feed the hungry and at the same time create community bonds to benefit us all. The givers and the receivers are both blessed. We also appreciate IPM’s support at Monday Meals.” — Kris Kant, LCR Ministry Leader
