MODA HEALTH - PARTNERSHIP CHANGE
For the past 11 years, IPN and Moda Health (Moda) have worked closely together to meet the needs of commercial members residing in Eastern Oregon. After much consideration, Moda has made the decision to transition to a direct contracting relationship with providers.

Moda and IPN will terminate their relationship effective September 30, 2021. In the coming weeks Moda will be reaching out by mail to eligible IPN providers in the following counties to begin the direct contracting process: Ada, Adams, Canyon, Gem, Idaho, Owyhee, Payette and Washington.

Providers outside these counties will become out of network for Moda patients. For more information, or to contact Moda, see the attached FAQs.

TERMINATION DATES AND CLAIMS PROCESSING
IPN has received an increased number of calls from payors concerned about claims paid with dates of service that are after the reported termination effective date. It is important that all terminations are reported to IPN timely and with accurate effective dates to avoid potential claims issues like denial or requests for recoupment.

CREDENTIALING APPLICATIONS
Credentialing applications are like puzzles. Each piece just as important as the other. Without every piece, the puzzle is incomplete. Before sending credentialing applications to IPN, be sure to double check the following: Address matches on each form, each question on the action history is checked, and the correct signature page is included. For questions about completing the credentialing application, contact IPN's Customer Service.
RUN-OUT REPRICING

For additional information about the terminated groups, contact the payor listed on the patient's ID card.

High-Tech Radiology Site-of-Care programs
On September 1, Cigna will expand precertification requirements for computed tomography scans and magnetic resonance imaging to include a medical necessity review of the site of care for customers with self-funded plans.* With this expansion, all Cigna commercial (non-Medicare) customers may be subject to this site-of-care medical necessity review.

Cigna will review requests to ensure these customers receive coverage for an appropriate site of care, such as a freestanding facility, rather than for an outpatient hospital setting (when available), except in situations where the use of an outpatient hospital setting is medically necessary*.

*Cigna may not review the site of care in all geographic markets, pending regulatory approval and/or network considerations.
