Dear IPS students, faculty, staff, and members of the Carnegie Mellon community,
The final event of the Fall 2020 semester is a big one: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will visit with members of the CMU community.
Secretary Rice will discuss race in America, a topic similar to that of an event we held this week, with Georgetown Professor Marcia Chatelain. Read more about her visit, or watch the recording if you missed it, at the links below.
We also have events with IPS Senior Fellow -- and Presidential Envoy for Kosovo-Serbia -- Richard Grenell, who will discuss the road ahead for diplomacy in the region; and former US Ambassador to Malta Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley.
This week, we also published a new alumni spotlight. The latest article features Jessica Wallach, who graduated in 2016, studied poverty and gender issues in Africa, and is currently in graduate school at UC Davis.
Sincerely,
Bill Brink
IPS Communications Specialist
