Iowa Quality for Kids (IQ4K^TM), Iowa’s new Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS), rolled out in April. IQ4K has replaced the Quality Rating System (QRS).

Kaya, the Quality Kangaroo, offers i-PoWeR Professional Workforce Registry tips to complete before starting your IQ4K application.

Center/Preschool/School-age Program

1. Be sure all staff have the appropriate role linked to their profile
2. Update your facility (i-PoWeR's name for all program types)
3. Identify ages served
4. Add classrooms
5. Assign lead teachers and teaching staff to classrooms
6. Start the IQ4K application!

Child Development Home

1. Update your facility (i-PoWeR's name for all program types)

Reminder: IQ4K pulls data from i-PoWeR for your application. In order for the IQ4K online system to function properly, all programs will need to complete the above steps before starting an IQ4K application!
