Iowa Quality for Kids (IQ4K^TM), Iowa’s new Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS), will roll out this April, replacing the current Quality Rating System (QRS). Is your program ready? Kaya, the Quality Kangaroo, offers another tip to help you get rated!

But first, let’s talk about why getting quality rated matters:

It matters because you care about the safety and well-being of the children in your care, and so do their families. As IQ4K rolls out across the state, we want families to know that any program participating in IQ4K is committed to the highest standards and is actively working to provide the best care for their child. This will be something families consider when looking for child care options.

It matters because IQ4K provides support to help your program improve and succeed. Participation can even increase your reimbursement rates for families who qualify for and participate in the Child Care Assistance (CCA) Program.
