Greetings!

The following is a recap of news and updates that were announced by the IR-4 Project during the month of February.
New HQ Employees
Welcome Dr. Alice Axtell
Dr. Alice (al-ee-cheh) Axtell joined the IR-4 headquarters team on Feb. 15 as a Principal Entomologist. Alice previously worked with the ScottsMiracle-Gro Company in Marysville, Ohio, where she managed projects across the U.S. and Canada aimed at evaluating the performance of new pest control technologies for residential and professional use in turf, edibles, ornamentals, and hemp. She has a Ph.D. in Agroecology from Utah State University. Alice's email address is aaxtell@ncsu.edu.
Welcome The'Shaun Jones
The'Shaun (Tay-Shon) Jones joined the IR-4 headquarters team on Feb. 22 as our Business Operations Associate. The'Shaun has previously worked at both NC State and UNC Chapel Hill and is familiar with UNC business operations, which will be a great asset to us as we continue to transition our headquarters to NC State. She has a B.S. in Business Management from North Carolina Central University and is currently working on a Master's in Education from NC State. The'Shaun can be reached at tsjones6@ncsu.edu.
