Learn How to Submit a Project Clearance Request

A new video from The IR-4 Project Headquarters demonstrates how to complete and submit a Project Clearance Request form to our Food Use Residue and Product Performance Program.

FOOD CROP TOLERANCE SUCCESSES

The following tolerance successes were added to our website in July (find them under Food Crop Successes & Stories):


ENVIRONMENTAL HORTICULTURE UPDATES

The EHC Program released 3 new research summaries in late June and July:

Powdery Mildew Efficacy Summary

Due to the high number of spored produced, powdery mildews often develop resistance quickly to fungicides. Starting in 2012, IR-4 initiated a series of regional projects to examine new fungicides and biofungicides for powdery mildew management.

Flutianil Crop Safety Summary

Flutianil is a new fungicide being developed by Nichino for the control of powdery mildew on environmental horticulture crops. The IR-4 Project completed 36 crop safety trials on 15 environmental horticulture plant species or genera during 2018 to 2021.

Scale Efficacy Summary

Managing scale insects presents unique challenges. In 2003, IR-4 initiated a high priority project to determine efficacy of several insecticides on several scale and mealybug species so data can be obtained to add appropriate species to existing registrations.
