This month at IREC, we're excited to share two new national projects we are leading with broad coalitions of partners: an interactive career map for energy efficiency careers and a national forum for solar and storage permitting solutions.

We also have new insights into how states can increase the accuracy and usefulness of hosting capacity analyses which can help customers identify optimal grid locations for clean energy.  Thanks for reading!
IREC & Partners to Create National
Energy Efficiency Career Map
With partners in the building and energy efficiency sectors, IREC is embarking on a project to create an interactive career map highlighting the range of energy efficiency career paths .

Paired with extensive outreach, the map will help connect low-income and underserved populations with EE careers.
New Blog Highlights Ways To Make Hosting Capacity Analysis (HCA) a Clean Energy Game-Changer
Validation measures are critical to ensuring the accuracy of HCA results. This is a key lesson from IREC's involvement in early utility rollouts of this grid mapping approach—which can show where solar can be easily and affordably added to the grid. In our latest blog post, IREC's Attorney Yochi Zakai shares his insights.
National Forum Launched for Solar & Storage
Code and Permitting Solutions
A national forum is launching to identify code enforcement and permitting challenges for solar and energy storage and find solutions. Learn more about how you can get involved and about the team of partners leading this work.
Confronting Racism
Like many of you, we are grieving over the murders of black people and the continued persistence of racism in our nation. IREC commits to working to foster a culture of anti-racism in our organization and recognizes that energy justice cannot exist without racial justice.

Where (Virtually) Is IREC?
Check out IREC's course in the Building Performance Association's virtual Home Performance Conference !

Designing Engaging Online Training is led by IREC Director of Credentialing Anna Sullivan and Kelly Cutchin, Simonson Management Services (SMS), with IREC Director of Training and Development Kristen Ferguson.

It's not too late to register for this on-demand session, and join a live Q&A with the instructors on July 24th.
IREC President and CEO Larry Sherwood presented yesterday at the American Solar Energy Society’s virtual Solar 20/20 Conference .

Larry was a panelist in the Stronger Together Town Hall which kicked off the event and presented on the Role of Distributed Energy Resources in a 100% Clean Energy Future in the National and International Policy session .
