What is different about the way you are operating during the COVID-19 quarantine?
The difference in the way we are currently operating is that a majority of the office staff are working remotely. Most importantly, we have implemented guidelines and policies heavily influenced by the CDC. What is different about the way you are operating during the COVID-19 quarantine?
At Squires Electric, we want to assure you we are taking every precaution to mitigate the community spread of the COVID-19 virus. The biggest difference is that our employees are strictly following the CDC guidelines and are in protective gear when working on projects. While our goal is to respond as usual to all losses and property damages, our main focus is to keep our employees safe. What is different about the way you are operating during the COVID-19 quarantine?
Rose City Moving & Storage and Rose City Office Furnishings have continued to work throughout the quarantine. Moving was deemed an essential service so we worked hard to meet the guidelines, keep our workers safe, but still keep commerce moving for our customers. We have implemented many precautions such as on site sanitation stations, issuing hand sanitizer and masks to all crew members, as well as limiting the number of people in trucks and elevators. Most of the office staff are working remotely, the ones that have to be in the office are able to be more than adequately distanced thanks to the low head count.

What specific services are you offering?
All services that were available prior to COVID-19 are still being offered. We are seeing an increase in needs for commercial moving that involves reconfiguring office space to conform to the new physical distancing requirements. Many companies are trying to do this sooner than later so that the office is ready when people are allowed to return to work. Our furniture team is busy helping with laying out these new offices as well as finding creative products like glass stackers for panels and other means to achieve the necessary separation for employees. We know that even as employees return to work it will likely be months before the need to have distancing is gone, we are helping our customers be ready to return to their offices when they can!

Open for Business
We are open and operating under the specific "Stay Home, Stay Safe" orders that differ in Oregon and Washington. In Oregon, we are allowed to operate to provide all normal services as long as we ensure employee social separation, sanitation and hygiene protocol. In Washington, we are only allowed to provide services to prevent spoliation, which just consists of maintenance and following the same employee social separation, sanitation and hygiene protocol.

What is different about the way you are operating during the COVID-19 quarantine?
We have worked hard to follow employee and community protocol to prevent disease spreading. This includes string enforcement of social separation, sanitation and hygiene while at our office, in transportation and while on jobsites. We have also provided all employees with masks. Most office staff and managers are working from home or their vehicles and making limited visits to our offices. We luckily well prepared to operate remotely with our upgrade of our enterprise operation system, accounting and payroll. We are making all normal weekly visits to jobsites and are available via email and telephone to respond to any requests. We are also getting quite good at Zoom and Teams meetings with employees and customers alike. Call us if you want to have a virtual meeting (or happy hour).

What specific services are you offering?
We have resisted adding any new services as we want to stick to what we know and do best, landscape maintenance and renovation, and water management and conservation. We have been in constant communication with all clients to ensure we are meeting their specific needs during this crisis. We have made modifications to services to those who have requested and look forward to the opportunity to help clients to make the best choices on what is necessary and what can be delayed.

Awareness is the key factor that we have added. A new awareness of contact and how we can reduce it. Awareness of the germs we leave at a job site, of the germs we can pick up at a job site and how we can mitigate the spread or transfer. In response to this new awareness is an intentional focus on reducing contact with people and surfaces. Sterilization of tools clothing and materials before entering a work site. Taking care of our employees and our customers is a firm priority.

What specific services are you offering?
We are offering priority turn around to all Medical and “Critical” facilities for Electrical, HVAC & Plumbing needs. These critical facilities must be maintained and made safe and ready for occupancy and they are our priority. We are offering HVAC Building Start up services for buildings that are re-opening after being shut down.
